Sally Warmington I am intrigued to get another glimpse into Peter's project about brain injury that we heard about in Road to Joy. I also love the bright, uplifting feel of this song and its contribution to the theme of the album - that we are all a part of everything here on this precious planet. The artwork is so much a part of the track and very beautiful - thank you!

New York State Of Mind I will say this: Whenever Peter finally announces the full format and tracklist of the i/o album --whether it's a 2-disc set featuring both bright and dark mixes, or a streamlined selection-- I want to go on record and say I find the bright-side mixes the most appealing. The instrumentation seems the liveliest, and the melodies come through most clearly. I almost always favor the bright-side mixes.

rjhatcher I’m very much looking forward to an edgier and less-polished Dark-side Mix later this month. Hopefully, like the live version, there’s a longer pause between the “falling from the head” lyric, which is overwhelmingly beautiful, and the groove/outro afterwards, too ❤️🌕 Favorite track: Olive Tree (Bright-Side Mix).

lyrics

In the misty silvered night
My eyes fall to the ground
I can feel it come alive
In the seeds pushing out through the soil
New life weaves its way out through the coil
Nothing’s going to hold this movement down

I was apart from it, my head in the sky
With no ears to listen, no light reached my eye
There rose the fungi, still tied to its past
For the melting of the solid world the changes coming fast

And its Ho oh
I’ve got the water falling on me – it’s all waking me up
I’ve got the sunlight warming my back - warming up all my bones
I’ve got the cool breeze right on my skin

Bringing every cell to life, making all connections live
From one point to another and we’re all here just the same
Trying to make some sense of it, where I’m going now
And how it fits together in the bigger shape of things

And I slide into the waves, leaving land behind
It’s another world I’m entering now
There’s the shark pushing through the swaying weeds
Predator and prey sort out their needs
Nothing’s going to hold this pattern down

I was apart from it in a world of our own
We’d lost all connection to the place from which we’d grown
But here in this helmet I can read other minds
And scan all the thinking all the juice I can find

And its Ho oh
I’ve got the water falling on me – it’s all waking me up
I’ve got the sunlight warming my back warming up all my bones
I’ve got the cool breeze right on my skin

Bringing every cell to life making all connections live
From one point to another and we’re all here just the same
Trying to make some sense of it, where I’m going now
And how it fits together in the bigger shape of things

Water falls on me
It’s waking up the world
Water falls on us
Pouring from the head
Pouring from the head
Pouring from the head
